Artist Resume

Dan Young has been painting for over 25 years in various mediums including Watercolor, Oils, Alkyds, Acrylics, etching, silkscreen, sculpting, mold making and monotypes on silkscreen. The preferred mediums have become Acrylic on canvas or oil-on-board, with a style developed using all the previous education and experience. The different subject matters and materials have resulted in an exhilarating Impressionist style Dan calls “Audacious Tropical Landscape.” The use of abundant color mirrors the heightened visual sense created when the tropical sun meets foliage, sandy beaches and crystal clear waters. A favorite color choice is the turquoise/teal waters and late afternoon sun with stunning sultry color.
