Tamami Maemura-Nooruddin

Tamami Maemura is a dance choreographer, trainer and performer, having staged her own original dance creative concepts, her solo and company performances, and her dance coaching workshops in places as diverse as Japan, the United States, Latin America, Germany and India.
Born in Kagoshima, Japan, Tamami studied dance from an early age, initially training in the “Vaganowa” method of classical ballet in Japan. After re-locating to the United States as a young dancer, Tamami continued her studies in the performing arts, going on to study exclusively under the guidance of the world- renowned ballet master, Prof. Dr. Jürgen Pagels, where she received accreditation from Indiana University.
Tamami began her illustrious career as a professional dancer in 1994 in Costa Rica, as a young member of the dance company, LOSDENMEDIUM. Also working as an independent dance artist, presenting her first dance production entitled “Shiki” at the Theatre Fanal in San Jose, Costa Rica.
Returning to Japan regularly for dance recitals and to spend time with her family, Tamami performed her original choreographic dance piece at the City Hall Theatre in Kagoshima, Japan, entitled “Celebrations.”
