Hey there, I’m Daphney. I’m a recently turned, 20-year-old third year Education student living in Johannesburg. I am a fan of music, acting, and education. I’m also interested in writing and reading. My passion for teaching started back in High School, I was greatly inspired by one of my teachers who instilled values in me that I still use to date. She always inspired me to put my all in everything I do, her learner-centered teaching made me feel seen and heard, I held on dearly to that feeling and vowed to myself that one day I will do that for others. I learnt very early the difference between authoritative learning and learner-centered learning as I have experienced them firsthand. I strongly believe that my purpose in this world is to teach, not only the school curriculum but moral values as well, avoiding of course stereotypes and biases against learners. I truly believe that the Department of Education would be lucky to have me(haha). So please walk this journey to my future with me.
