Derrick Alexander Pope describes himself as a “composer and conductor of ideas."

Derrick has a lifelong passion of getting information to people and offering thought-provoking insight on how that information can be used to make lasting transformation. He brings this passion to his role as the Founding Managing Director of The Arc of Justice Foundation and host of its podcast, Hidden Legal Figures. In addition, he is also a Professor of Law and Legal Studies (Adjunct) at the Stetson-Hatcher School of Business and the College of Professional Advancement at Mercer University.

With more than twenty-five years' experience in the private, public, and academic legal sectors, Derrick has written two books and several articles in law-related periodicals. His favorite project is The Race Track, a spoken word CD teaming up with his daughter, Sydney.
