Prior to joining Alacrita, Dara was appointed to her role as a UK Economic Development Advisor to the North of England. With a focus on growing and expanding the life sciences sector among others, Dara has worked with Fortune 500 and 1000 companies, helping them strategically identify innovation, align growth strategies, and monetize varying assets against the best the UK offers. Her experience spans a variety of sectors including: Biotech and Pharmaceuticals, Medtech and Medical Devices, ICT, Digital Media, Financial Services, Renewable Energy and Homeland Security.

In 2011, Dara Khan joined the British Consulate General in Boston, a post of the British Embassy network and was appointed to UK Trade & Investment (UKTI), voted in 2010 as the “Best Trade & Investment Promotion Organisation in the Developed World.” Her work within UKTI supported the life sciences industry, but also No.10‘s inward investment and export initiatives. Working primarily within the Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical sector, Dara has worked to identify and encourage the most well-qualified, global companies to expand to the UK & US as global markets of choice. With her extensive global network and breadth of international business dealings, Dara has led many US/UK investors to win new business, reduce development times, and springboard their growth strategies into new and emerging global markets.

Dara Khan earned her B.S. in Executive Management from Bay Path College, and is currently a Juris Doctorate Candidate at the Massachusetts School of Law at Andover.
