I am a recovering over-thinker and self-professed word nerd with a love for lowercase and reckless acts of punctuation. I am also an admirer of people who make great homemade soups.

I hold a Master’s degree in African-American Literature, which qualifies me to analyze all the Things About Black People. But perhaps most of all, it makes me a sympathetic and conscientious writer on issues of race and culture.
