Dara Solomon

My bio is simple:

I am 100%, unequivically opposed to using animals solely to reap material, financial or "food" as gain. I oppose violence against any animal, sadly, catastrophic violence occurs as we torment them for their exploitation. I will work tirelessly to end the following injustices against animals:

  • The exploit of animals as "entertainment" in circuses, dog races and similar physically-exhausting and abusive "FUN American past-times.
  • The mass factory farming of chickens, cows, pigs, geese and fish for their meat (flesh), eggs and milk- (Ironic considering vegetarians have lower bad chloresterol, higher B vitamins and healthier hearts).
  • Animal Experimentation--with today's technology, we have so many life-like models and scientific data, predicting outcomes of chemical reactions. Why are companies still spraying and rubbing their chemicals into Macacque Monkeys eyes to measure the slow, painful burning onset of chemical hitting eyeball? Sadly, one example..

I will work to research, blog, educate, and change policy to give animals the voice they do not have.
Last but not least, dogs and cats in our shelters. I have worked in a shelter (Marketing Dept. and Operations/Kennels as a manager). It was the most rewarding time of my life, and a similar job would be a snap decision--no question.
