I am a true Floridan. I was born and raised in Naples, FL. I have since lived all over Florida.

I attended Brevard Community College (now Eastern Florida State College) and taught at their Child Development Center for 10 years. It was there, where I was able to find my niche! Over the years, I was able to work with many passionate early childhood college professors, child development industry leaders, and preschool teachers...some are still my mentors till this day.

I moved to Sarasota in 2010 to help my mom through chemotherapy and to also finish my bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education at USF Sarasota- Manatee (USFSM). She is now cancer free and I was able to obtain that bachelor’s degree!

I have been working at USFSM since my 2011 graduation, in the office of Student Services. I am currently working as an Admissions Counselor. I work with high school and college students on a daily basis. I help guide them through their educational journey. I am actually loving my job and find it very rewarding!

I am also a Master's of Arts in Education student at USFSM. My newest gig is teaching a course called University Success for beginning college students. I am super excited for this opportunity!

My true passion is early childhood education and I hope to one day use my M.A. in Education to teach and train preschool teachers for the State of Florida’s Office of Early Learning, local Early Learning Coalitions, Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), and/ or a state college.

I am a self-proclaimed advocate for PLAY, best way young children learn!
