Dara Chenevert

Dara Chenevert is a respected Tampa, Florida, human resources professional who most recently engaged with the Hillsborough Area Regional Transit Authority (HART) as their interim chief business enterprise and safety officer. Responsible for the full range of risk and HR management functions, Dara Chenevert developed and implemented HART initiatives in support of strategic goals.

Ms. Chenevert’s accomplishments as employee and labor relations consultant included the negotiation of a pair of successor labor contracts with agency supervisory classifications. Prior to joining HART, she was director of the Organizational Support Division’s HR Department in the Hillsborough County Government. Known for her hands-on approach, she significantly decreased the County’s monetary exposure to FLSA class action-related liabilities.

Ms. Chenevert’s professional experience extends to engaging with the City of Detroit as counsel to the Office of the Corporation Counsel. From 1999 to 2005, Dara Chenevert served as lawyer-manager of both the contracts and labor practice groups where she practiced employment and labor law litigation and contract negotiation in both the traditional contracts and labor practice areas.
