A North Carolina native who has traveled close and far, Dara is deeply concerned with social justice and education.
After working with immigrants throughout her undergraduate career--from the diverse suburb of Waltham, MA to the highly fluid US/Mexico Border-- Dara developed a serious interest in the opportunities and challenges presented by our changing demographics.
Spending two years as an assistant English teacher at a primary school in Spain enriched her knowledge of Spanish, strengthened her appreciation of different cultures and confirmed her desire to work in the field of education.
Dara loves teaching Spanish full-time in Brentwood, TN. She aims to spark curiosity in students and promote global awareness.
