Darcy Hildebidle is an award-winning community supporter, artist and educator. She strives to contribute to the world community by connecting learning and communication to the creative process. Darcy’s work supports individuals with exceptionalities by providing unique and holistic educational experiences, and learning and healing through the therapeutic potentials of the arts.

Darcy was raised in Flint, Michigan. There, she worked in worked in Flint area schools, art programs, and disability support organizations as she completed her bachelor's degree at the University of Michigan. She has numerous volunteer experiences under her belt, both in the U.S. and abroad. In recognition of her years of work in the fields of community arts, education, international outreach, and disability support, she received the University of Michigan's prestigous Charlie Nelms Award for Community Contribution.

After years of battling the northern climate, Darcy relocated to South Florida where she pursued a graduate degree in Interdisciplinary Arts, specializing in Expressive Therapies and Arts Education.She studied Drama Therapy with Dr. Norman Fedder (Doc), a founding father of the field. She also worked with the internationally-renowned Lovewell Institute while studying its educational method with her mentor and Lovewell's creator, Dr. David Spangler.She was inducted into the international honor society for educators, Kappa Delta Pi, in 2014. She was inducted into the Golden Key Honor Society in 2015. She is a member of the North American Drama Therapy Association (NADTA) and the American Art Therapy Association (AATA). Her interdisciplinary arts project, Ability to Love, was accepted for publication and presentation for the NADTA’s conference and annual journal in 2015.

She currently resides in Broward County Florida, where she works as an arts based skills and learning coach, develops home learning environments for exceptional kids, writes, and makes art. She enjoys life with her husband, Aquiles, and their beloved dog Sophie.
