My name is Darian Orlando and I am twenty years old from Toronto, Canada. Currently I am working along side Universal Music Canada on the Johnny Orlando Project. Johnny is a fifteen year old recording artist whom I have been working with and developing for the last six years. The project started in January of 2012 by posting cover music videos on YouTube. I directed and edited the videos, and Johnny sang. After the videos began accumulating thousands of views we began to take the project more seriously posting weekly videos and creating original music. Fast forward six years later Johnny is now signed to Universal Music Canada, has toured around the world, and has accumulated a combined following of 20 million. I have managed the entire project along side my father, taking on a hand full of responsibilities such as; tour management, photography, cinematography, editing, graphic design, public relations, marketing, song writing, brand development, social media management and overall creative direction. Working with Johnny over the last six years has given me many opportunities and allowed me to develop a number of skills specifically in marketing, social media, and brand development. This project also allowed me to discover my passion for film making and photography. Aside from creating videos for Johnny I have aIso produced a number of personal videos which can be founds on my Vimeo linked below. I currently attend Ryerson University in the Creative Industries program, and plan to continue working in the music industry after I graduate. After I finish my studies Johnny and I plan to start our own full service music label, providing management, brand development, marketing services and artist development.
