Born in New York as a first-generation American from Polish and Iranian parents, he featured in four episodes of MTV's acclaimed "The New Tom Green Show" at age 17 -- around the same time Emadi was voted high-school senior "Class Clown."
Now, Darius is an internationally-touring comedian living between Oslo and London. A regular performer at comedy clubs in New York City including Stand Up NY and Broadway Comedy Club, Darius is the winner of Stand Up NY’s ‘Comics Bring It’ award, and has played to sold-out crowds in Paris, Oslo, Edinburgh, and London.
A recent graduate of the prestigious École Philippe Gaulier in France, Darius holds a BA in Creative Writing from Seattle University and is a graduate of Second City’s comedy writing program.
Darius made his Edinburgh Fringe debut in 2018 with an ensemble clown show ‘LATE NIGHT DISCO FIGHT!’ in which he co-created and performed. The show was produced by independent, LA-based comedy label Stamptown and played to several sold-out audiences throughout its run. The company is made-up of international performers from Norway, Scotland, South Korean and America.
Darius is also the co-creator of Le Club Loyal, an anarchic cabaret show produced by Nieu Scene that played once a month in Oslo, Norway in 2019.
Together with Norwegian comedian and director Steffen Hanes, Darius is created a solo show entitled “Cancelled” that debuted at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2019.
Darius is a hypochondriac and doesn’t have travel insurance.
