Hello! My name is Darlene and I'm a Freelance Writer, Opinion Blogger & Foodie.

I'm interested in taking on writing and/or editing projects.

I am also working on my own novel which has been in the works for quite awhile now. You may have to bare with me if I drop an excerpt on you from time to time.

Let's see, I've worked the corporate arena for almost 30 years. I spent most of my career in the legal field with some invaluable time spent managing in human resources.

I'm married with grown up children and some pretty gorgeous grandchildren. I've entered a very pivotal time in my life because I'm finally doing what I was born to do ... write, write, write!

I named my website "TheSeattlegem" because hmm, well I live out here (by way of New Jersey) but that's a topic for a later date lol. And besides, who doesn't need a gem in their life from time to time?
