Darold Stagner

Darold Stagner is the Executive Director for the Native American Fair Commerce Coalition (NAFCC). The organization represents members of Native American tribes and advocates for their rights to pursue business and economic opportunities. In his position with the NAFCC, Darold Stagner champions the improvement of economic conditions for Native American tribes and protection of their treasuries. In concert with these goals, Mr. Stagner and NAFCC also realize the importance of tribal identity and culture and aim to ensure their protection.

Darold Stagner grew up in Oklahoma as a member of the Choctaw Nation of American Indians. The relocation of his ancestors to the South Central state in the 19th century was part of the Trails of Tears after the Indian Removal Act was passed into law. Mr. Stagner remains aware of his heritage and his tribe’s importance to the community. He is a member of the National Congress of American Indians where he works to protect Native American rights of sovereignty and subsequent immunity from private or public attacks or legal culpability. Darold Stagner graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma in 1981 after he earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. He then began a career within the financial world that has spanned three decades. During this time, he has held numerous positions with several different companies and has gained valuable experience in the financial world.

He has conducted financial reports for public and private companies, prepared strategic plans and multi-unit budgets, managed over 30 merger and acquisition transactions, positioned and executed initial public offerings, established and grew start-up companies, and coordinated debt financing as part of his various roles. Darold Stagner now brings that financial background to the NAFCC. His experience and knowledge of the business world make him particularly adept at representing Native Americans and their right to endeavor in financial arenas. His familiarity with Native American tribes and the relationship they have with the greater U.S. society also gives Mr. Stagner the insight to serve effectively as Executive Director for the NAFCC.
