Darren Stumberger is an Atlantic Highlands, NJ sports coach who leverages six years of professional baseball experience in working with young athletes across NY, CT, and NJ. Darren Stumberger’s focus with aspiring ballplayers from ages 7 to 15 is on drilling fundamentals, while emphasizing the importance of teamwork.
Drafted in 1994, Mr. Stumberger spent a total of six years within the Cleveland Indians’ organizations playing for farm teams such as the Akron Aeros, Watertown Indians, and Kinston Indians. His career spanned 597 games, during which time he had a .288 batting average to go along with 353 RBIs and 68 home runs.
Originally from Boca Raton, Florida, Mr. Stumberger was a high school standout who was recruited for the draft by the Chicago Cubs in 1990 but elected to remain on a college track and earned his BS in finance at the University of South Florida. A Division I All American player for two years, Darren Stumberger also earned All Region Metro Conference player and Florida Player of the Year distinction.
