Darrin Eakins is a retired Orthopedic surgeon. He specialized in the treatment of sports injuries and joint replacement surgery. After earning an undergraduate degree in Science from Baylor University, Darrin Eakins earned his Medical degree from Wake Forest School of Medicine.

He graduated in 1992. He then completed a 6-year surgical internship and residency in Orthopedic surgery at Oregon Health Sciences University. He also spent an additional fellowship year in Sydney, Australia, at the Royal North Shore Hospital.
