Darrin LaViolette is an avid outdoorsman and Canadian native who has developed a successful career in construction and project management. For over twenty years, Darrin LaVoilette has performed a multitude of duties for some of Canada's largest construction companies, and his leadership on these sizable projects has helped improve the country's gas, oil, and water infrastructures.
Darrin LaViolette earned a certificate in Process Piping Drafting from Southern Alberta Institute of Technology in Calgary, Alberta. Following his studies, he sought hands on experience within the field and enjoyed various positions with firms large and small. Throughout this period, Darrin laVoilette served as a fitter foreman, field engineer, on-site pipe designer, and equipment operator.
Armed with the knowledge gained during these formative professional years, Darrin LaViolette's career quickly advanced as he assumed leading roles for a number of companies centered on gas, oil, and water construction projects. To that end, Darrin LaViolette worked as a Project Manager, first for Colt Engineering Corporation and subsequently for Triton Projects, Inc. With Triton, he was responsible for all aspects of project fulfillment, ranging from budget development and staffing augmentation to production efficiency and client satisfaction. Likewise, Darrin LaViolette's tenure with Colt Engineering covered a broad scope of duties with an emphasis on construction site management and design development. Apart from hiring, scheduling, and designing all facets of the physical project, he adhered to strict G55 and G60 guidelines and ensured the overall project quality through implementation of necessary policies and procedures.
Darrin La Violette eventually took on Home Office and Field Construction Manager positions in conjunction with Cord Projects Ltd. and Colt Engineering Projects. This contract charged him with both the Shell Waterton and Albian Oil Sands projects with a budget stretching from from one to 65 million dollars.
