I am passionate about solving problems creatively, may it be some broken stuff at home or fixing some computer. I was fond of video games during childhood and then my uncle gave me an used Pentium MMX box with 64'MB' Ram, 10'GB' Hard Disk and Windows '98' which was lying at his house without any owner. He wanted to help in my studies for my Computer Lab (Lotus!, Word Star!, Dave!) during my High School. But I was more interested in playing games on that computer and used to believe that it is a machine to play games and to type some junk to learn typing. I started playing flash games, small indie games and wanted to play Hi-Fi (probably then it was) games like Tarzan, Hercules, Wolfenstein, NFS2 . One day, my cousin gave me an ethical hacking book to read which changed everything. I tried to implement hacks like shutting down the system after 5 minutes when my sister was playing games and changing the name of "Start" button to "Darshan" using batch script and registry edit. My interest of playing games slowly transformed into interest of playing with computer itself. I started installing Windows ME , then I tried the unexpected thing of Installing Windows XP and could successfully do it after few hiccups. Windows XP with 64MB Ram and 10GB Hard Disk on Pentium MMX was an achievement then among my friends. By now I had decided that I have to pursue my studies in Computer Science and took my Pre-University program in Computer Science. I was exposed to vast world of computers in terms of learning my first programming language - Pascal and using floppy disks to store my programs, started setting up my first dual boot fedora linux environment and used to prank friends with mail from [email protected] using KMail exploit in fedora 3, started learning C with turbo compiler, got exposed to Visual Basic and built my first snake game. Later pursued my bachelors in Computer Science and worked in the industry for 5 years in System Programming and Application programming. Then I started realizing the huge opportunity to solve the problems faced in our day-to-day activities and wanted to pursue my masters in Computer Science. I took courses related to Artificial Intelligence, Natural Language processing and Information Retrieval and want to build better software and systems which solves and eases our daily tasks and become inherent in our lives. Now, here I am, exploring opportunities to build the stuffs for today and tomorrow.
