I am a Yooper, a native of Michigan's Upper Peninsula, or U.P. For a long time the U.P. was all I knew, but eventually I loaded up my little Honda Civic and headed out into the world. That's where I am now.

I am a writer both by profession and by nature. A writer was what I always wanted to be, and though I've tried many other things, writing is what I came back to and have been making a living at for many years now.

I also take pictures. Lots of pictures. Of many different things. Some people probably think I'm crazy, or creepy, or weird because of the things I take pictures of. They may be right, but not for that reason. I can't help it if I see beauty where others see mundanity, ruin, or ugliness. That's just me.
