Daryush Ila

Over the course of his career as a professor and university administrator, Daryush Ila has established himself as a dedicated and highly capable research coordinator. As the current chief tech-transfer officer and associate vice chancellor for research at Fayetteville State University, he introduced an innovative research infrastructure and plays an integral role in all grand development and submission activities. Daryush Ila also founded the university’s tech transfer office with a team of six prominent managers and scientists and built up the office’s licensing and marketing strategy.Before assuming his current duties, Daryush Ila spent several years as the executive director of the Research Institute (RI) at Alabama A&M University in Huntsville. In this capacity, he represented the RI at meetings with agencies and contractors. He also produced technical proposals to secure grant funding for existing research projects. Dr. Ila received his PhD in condensed matter physics from the University of Massachusetts Lowell.
