Das Films

Since 2007, Das Films has produced more than 20 financially successful and award-winning films with some of Hollywood’s elite actors and directors. Operating from offices in Santa Monica, California, and in London, Das Films has developed features in a variety of genres including thrillers and romantic comedies. Sriram Das, an Ivy League-educated producer, founded the company to focus on adapting literary works into independent feature films. He serves as president and producer alongside Steven Shapiro and J.J. Meyers, head of production and head of development, respectively.

Das Films' released projects include Blue State, which stars Breckin Meyer and Anna Paquin, and Into the Forest, starring Ellen Page and Evan Rachel Wood. Blue State earned a nomination for “Best Debut” at the Zurich Film Festival, and Into the Forest won “Best Feature Film” at the Imagine Film Festival.

Das Films has numerous projects in development including The Red Thread, a modern romance set in Shanghai, and The Big Blow, which examines the racially-charged tribulations of an African-American fighter after the devastating hurricane of 1900 in Galveston, Texas.
