Hey there, I’m JD. I’m a Dispatcher for a trucking company, living near Altoona, PA. I'm also a locomotive engineer, formerly with a class one railroad; hoping to get back, a shortline would be great, steam even better.

But I'm also a maker/creater. I have a foundry furnace for melting different metals, I have two 3D printers, a modest woodshop, and want to add welding to my capabilities. I'd love to be able to make it as a custom fabricator of things for people. I'm also into science& technology, Star Trek, computers, and model railroading (cut short by word limit, sorry).

In addition to being a maker, I also classify myself as an amateur industrial archeologist… this means I like exploring abandoned industrial sites, or long antiquated technology… I explored a glass factory that closed in the early 80s. I love antique steam and gas engine shows.

Through living, I can say I am a Gryffindor; though I'm not a robe-wearing, wand-carrying Potterhead. I'll be adding a personality type to this profile later. Also a pansexual.

As for dating me: one thing to keep in mind is that I am involved with the local BDSM community, or the Kink lifestyle. I want my partner to not just be okay with this, but to be willing to become involved and excited about attending sex-positive events. It also means I have a couple existing partners who I have existing play with, but no emotional relationship with (beyond respect and platonic friendship). As long as you are okay with this, it doesn't matter if we become play partners too, or if you find your own playmates in the community, and we just share a relationship (though, obviously, if we could build a dynamic to go with our relationship that would be perfect). More succinctly, I'm mono for romantic relationships, but poly for sexual and kink activities, but with the right person, I could become mono for sex too.

Oh, if you are an Amanda or a Rebecca, it might be harder to cut through my defenses; my nacissistic ex-wife, and my late soulmate/fiancee respectively.

Friends with benefits; friends that has nothing to do with kink, but we share an interest in making, or computers, or railfanning, or Star Trek; a dating couple, or a long term pair… I just want people I enjoy sharing the same space with.
