Dat Tran
Student in Plymouth, New Hampshire
Hi!
My name is Dat Tran and I am from East Hartford, CT. I am currently a student at Plymouth State University, studying Adventure Education while trying to branch out into Environmental Sustainability. Both my parents are from Vietnam and came over to America, like most, looking for a better life. They ended up marrying and had 4 children; I have 3 older sisters. My ethnicity is African American, Chinese, and Vietnamese.
Some hobbies of mine are hiking, martial arts, and gaming! In fact, I have a blog about gaming where I talk about new and upcoming games. Check it out at the link below! I also like going to the movies and playing Magic The Gathering with my friends. Although I have my "nerdy side", I am also an athlete. I played soccer for roughly 8 years when I was younger, and I am still doing martial arts. I was track runner in high school as well as a cheerleader my senior year and managed to get North-East Region Champion.
Over the summer I managed to work for the local Cultural Center in East Hartford and loved it. I helped plan and coordinate events, such as canoe trips, yoga sessions, and multi-cultural drumming jams. I plan on working with people at risk by using the wilderness to help them.
