Daniel Aucoin

My name is Daniel Aucoin and I am currently a student in the Isenberg School of Management at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. More specifically, I am a Sports Management Major and am currently pursuing the departmental honors thesis track in the Commonwealth Honors College. My thesis would ideally be on a metric stat in baseball in an effort to show a misallocation of monetary resources at the catcher position by most Major League Baseball clubs. My goal is to acquire a job within a Major League Baseball team's front office, as my real passion in sports lies (if not already apparent) in baseball. I am working as hard as possible to achieve the improbable dream of being in a MLB front office while also paying my way through school. While it can be difficult to balance money, school, work, and success, I know am on a positive path to achieving my goals, all the while enjoying life at the same time.
