Justin Dauer

A graduate of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Justin is a multi-faceted, multi-pierced, and multi-tattooed designer who cites Carlos Segura and Josef Muller-Brockman among his design influences. Thriving on both digital and print-based design, his work in creative media has been published many times over, including the books 1 x 1: Pixel-Based Illustration & Design, DNA: Identity, European art and culture magazine Frieze, and numerous Macintosh publications.

Justin is the co-founder/designer of GUI Galaxy, a daily read for Mac and tech news, as well as a news author on K10k, the internet’s premier design portal. A Human Factors International-trained usability designer, he was a GUI judge for the 2006 Avion Awards, which honors excellence in airline entertainment. In previous lives, he was a Senior Designer at supply chain management behemoth i2 Technologies, formed the Usability and Interface Design department within the Hostway Corporation, and was the Creative Director at Xeno Media. Currently Justin is the Interactive Design Supervisor for New Control, working with clients such as Sony, Chase, and Humana.
