Daughters of Zion DOZ

DOZ is a vibrant registered community-based organization founded by Juliet G. Gibbs in 2005, who felt compelled to initiate a holistic women empowerment program in Mbale.

During the past years of working with adolescent girls, DOZ has learned that girls as well as communities need to be given as much information as possible about girls’ fundamental rights and the dangers and disadvantages of keeping girls behind the development agenda.

DOZ is focused on four girls groups, whose members belong to hardcore poor families and who really benefit from the economic and educational empowerment provided!

Currently DOZ is aiming to expand and create new groups involving teen-moms and early drop-outs, trying to forge the way forward
