I am a startup founder, entrepreneur currently living in Hanoi, Vietnam.
I have a dual passion for learning and entrepreneurship, which in 2002 made me quit my 6-year job as HP Services Manager with Hewlett-Packard Vietnam to co-found the Organizational Capacity Development Company (OCD, http://ocd.vn), a Vietnamese training and consulting company serving the growing needs of the private sector in Vietnam for practical, hands-on managerial capacity development services. I led business development, oversaw company's operations and also acted as consultant and trainer in management skills, project cycle management and knowledge management, learning organization in the 1 three years (2003-2006).
During 2007-2008, OCD helped establish and grow the workforce of VNDirect (http://www.vnds.com.vn), now a top 10 stock brokerage company in Vietnam During 2007-2011 I was a board member of VNDirect, overseeing the HR and Compensation Committee.
In 2008 OCD got partial take-off funding from the Danish Government to start the Online Management Training program for Vietnamese SME exporters (http://omt.vn), to bring practical training contents to tight-budget Vietnamese SMEs located in remote provinces, using the increasing pervasive Internet access and leveraging SMEs’ existing IT infrastructure. Online Management Training Company (OMT), spun off by OCD in 2010 and which I now chairing, aims to continue to provide affordable Internet-enabled and mobile-enabled learning to Vietnam.
In 2015, OMT co-founded KidsOnline (www.kidsonline.edu.vn) to provide cloud-based kindergarten management system with a smart app for school-parent communication, to kindergartens in Vietnam. As of early 2017, with seed stage funding from Vietnam’s 3 largest Internet media company, KidsOnline is being used in over 80 kindergartens with more than 10,000 kids in main cities of Vietnam.
