Emmy award-winning documentary filmmaker. Banks has traveled the world to bring back stories of expeditions, mountain climbs, archeological digs, adventure races, civil strife and war. In doing so he's been shot at, chased by an army, lost in a landmine field (twice), rescued by helicopter after a climbing accident and lost in the Sahara Desert. Undeterred, Banks continues to follow his passion of pursuing the perfect image for stills and video.

Nominated thirteen times for Emmy Awards and Banks won three Emmys, two International Monitor Awards and one ADDY Award for writing.
