I completed teachers college in May of 2012. That June my wife and I had our daughter Abigail. It made for a busy few months and I went back to my current job working as an automotive technician. I am presently waiting for the supply list to open up where I live. I am taking this course in hopes that it will lead to a teaching position in the near future (and upon some encouragement from a local principal...fingers crossed).

I have been working as an automotive technician for the past eleven years. Six of these years have been at a General Motors shop. Though I have enjoyed this job I am interested in taking on new challenges. My wife works as a highschool teacher and was approached by a colleague who was looking for someone to teach automotive technology in an alternative education night school setting. After teaching these students for a few weeks I realized that I really enjoyed teaching and that I was able to connect well with my students. Though I had considered teaching as a career before, this solidified my decision and I applied to teachers college that winter. Since I have completed teachers college I have taken co-op part one and special education part one. My experience in communications technology is limited, however, I am looking forward to learning more about this field.
