I always wanted to be in the NBA. But at 5’8”, my chances were rather slim. So of course I did the next best thing anyone who craves glory and adoration would do, I went into advertising.

And of course the awards and dollars (not including shoe contracts) followed. But something happened along the way, As I lost my ability to dunk consistently over the bigger rookies, I became a crafty veteran. I learned how to hold like John Stockton. and get the foul calls like Kobe.

In other words, I learned that there was a lot more to marketing then simply creating award-winning ads.
