His albums have reached #1 on various electronic charts around the world including iTunes, MSN Music, and Amazon. His work has been featured in numerous television shows (Showtime’s “The L Word”, NBC and BBC’s coverage of the 2008 Olympics), tastemaker radio programs (NPR, KCRW, KQED, KEXP) and advertising campaigns (LVMH/Kenzo, Dove, Microsoft, Hilton Hotels, Coco-Cola, etc.). He has been interviewed by The New York Times, NPR's All Things Considered, BBC World Service, FADER Magazine, Wired.com, PRI's The World, The San Francisco Chronicle, and The Wall Street Journal.

In addition to his production work for artists on his own label Undercover Culture Music, Liang has also worked with artists on Bad Boy, Yamaha, Warner, and Universal. An accomplished classical and jazz pianist, Liang enjoys working in a variety of genres including hip-hop, electronic, jazz, and choral music.

Liang was born in Lawrence, Kansas and attended high school in upstate New York, where he was selected as the pianist for the NY All-State Jazz Ensemble. He attended college at Harvard University where he majored in Applied Math and Economics.
