Denver, CO

Dave Logan is a radio broadcaster for 850 KOA in Denver, Colorado. Dave is most well known for being the "voice of the Denver Broncos" and has a regular show on the broadcast channel called "The Dave Logan Show". Dave additionally coaches high school football for schools in the Denver area. Before "The Dave Logan Show", Dave started his broadcasting career as the color analyst for the Denver Broncos for seven years before becoming the "voice of the Denver Broncos" in 1996. He and color commentator Ed McCaffrey currently call the Broncos games on 850 KOA radio.

Dave Logan, 60, was born February 2nd, 1954 in Fargo, North Dakota. He later moved with his family to Colorado, where he played high school football at Wheat Ridge High School, in Wheat Ridge, CO. Logan was an all-state football player and was awarded The Denver Post's Golden Helmet award, an award reserved for the state's top senior football player, citizen, and scholar. Upon graduating high school, Logan was drafted by the Cincinnati Reds as a pitcher/infielder in the 19th round of the MLB draft.

Instead of going directly into professional sports, Dave Logan decided to continue his education, and matriculated into the University of Colorado at Boulder where he played varsity basketball and varsity football. In 1976, Logan was drafted by the NBA's then Kansas City Kings in the ninth round of the NBA draft, and was also drafted by the Cleveland Browns in the third round of the NFL draft. Wanting to continue playing football, Dave Logan joined the Cleveland Browns. Logan is one of only three other professional sports players in history to have been drafted into all three major sports leagues; the other two are Dave Winfield and Mickey McCarty.

Dave Logan played wide receiver for the Cleveland Browns for eight seasons (1976 - 1983). As a Cleveland Brown, Logan ranked, at the time, in the top five in virtually every wide receiver category in the Cleveland Browns' franchise record books.

In his spare time, while working as a radio broadcaster full time, Dave Logan coaches high school football. Logan began coaching in 1993 at Arvada West. He has coached at several other high schools since then, and has brought his teams to the playoffs 17 times and has won six state championships in 19 seasons of coaching. He is known for donating his high school coaching salary to his assistant coaches.
