Dave Carlquist

PROFESSIONAL:

I am a 29 year veteran of the IBM Corporation. Currently, I am vice president of Global Competitive Strategy and Sales. In that role, I'm responsible for IBM’s sales execution and strategies for capturing competitive market share in hardware, software and I/T services. Since 1982, I've worked in a broad range of roles encompassing sales, marketing, services and business development. Prior to my current position I was vice president, Americas – Central Region with responsibility for IBM’s operations across the US Midwest including sales and support of IBM products and services.

PERSONAL:

Volunteerism, board service and community involvement are priorities for me. I'm a member and past chairman of the Workforce Board of Northern Cook County. I have been an elected member of the Board of Education for Community Unit School District 205 in Elmhurst, IL for more than 20 years. I serve as Vice President of the Board of the Lizzadro Museum of Lapidary Arts, a member of the Board of Governors for Elmhurst Memorial Healthcare, and a member of the Board of Trustees of the Adler Planetarium and Astronomy Museum in Chicago. Additionally, I am a member of the Economic Club of Chicago and the Commercial Club of Chicago.

EDUCATION:

Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science from Northwestern University and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Chicago with a specialization in finance.
