I started my career as a web designer, songwriter & journalist, starting my first web solutions company Glitterarty in 1999.
I was Head Of Music and Mobile at Tiscali from 2002-2007, launching Tiscali Showcase (2004), Tiscali Sessions (2006), Tiscali UK Radio (2006) & Tiscali Music Downloads store (2006). I led Tiscali's flagship sponsorship, live Webcast and Sessions from the Carling Weekend: Reading and Leeds plus the successful multiplatform 02 Wireless activity which crossed over to Channel 4 TV.
I joined Tough Cookie - part of Whizz Kid Entertainment - in May 2007, adding my own unique mix of technical, creative and entrepreneurial flair to complete Tough Cookie’s pioneering 360 approach across productions such as the BBC Electric Proms, BBC Hub Sessions and the JD Sets for C4. As part of Whizz Kid Entertainment, I was across digital for such productions as the Baftas (BBC1), the Nokia Green Room (C4), Playstation Day (PS3), and MSN Xclusives (MSN).
As Creative Director at Tough Cookie managing Creative policy, Technical design and productions, specialising most recently in branded content, I worked with major brands and agencies and the major global internet broadcasters (Bebo, Myspace, Youtube) to develop and monetise web-only video & web build projects.
I started Big Briefs in January 2009 Specialising in digital entertainment consultancy, web design & build, content production.
Notable projects: consulting to the record breaking U2 / YouTube global webcast from LA for Google / U2 / Universal; consulting to Nokia for multi-platform pilot from Cat Deeley, Dave Stewart for Whizz Kid Ent. Digital consultancy, content for AOL Music and TalkTalk in the UK; digital projects for Church Of England, Mitsubishi & the Diageo Group.
In 2011 I became Head Of Digital - and 2012 recently Director Of Digital - for Seven, leading multiplatform content agency backed by Guardian Media Group.
Now thrilled to say I am now Head Of Europe, Nokia Entertainment, Nokia.
