David C. Smith
My name is David C. Smith, and I am presently a PhD candidate in the History Department at the University of Texas at Arlington. I am a Transatlantic Historian specializing in U.S. Social History, Environmental History, Modern Germany, and Transatlantic History. Areas of expertise include nuclear energy, antinuclear movements, and environmental politics, and my dissertation is entitled “The Atlantic Transfer of the Antinuclear Movement.” My professional background additionally includes nearly 10 years of development experience working for environmental and nonprofit organizations, and I am currently with the University of Dallas. In sum, aside from being a historian, environmentalist, and development professional, I am also a music head, dog owner, Jeep enthusiast, sports fanatic, and a very amateur painter.
