Dave Fancher is a Lead Software Engineer at Vibenomics in Fishers, IN. He is a 5-time Microsoft MVP, author of The Book of F# (No Starch Press), and a Pluralsight author. Altogether he has been building software for over 15 years with an emphasis on Microsoft technologies. Most recently his time has been spent with node.js.

Dave is active within the software development community and has spoken at numerous events throughout the United States and United Kingdom. In addition to speaking, Dave helps organize several user groups in the Indianapolis area and is a co-organizer of the new Crossroads Developer Conference. He is also volunteers his time with The Last Mile where every week he mentors inmates at the Indiana Women's Prison, helping them develop job skills so they can have a better life than the one that led them to their current situation.

When not writing code, writing about code, or talking about code, he enjoys spending time with his family, watching movies, and gaming on his Xbox One.
