Currently serving with wife Tracy as volunteers on the staff of the World Centre of the Baha'i Faith in Haifa, Israel. Service includes interacting with Israeli government officials, the diplomatic corps and civil society.
Retired from broadcasting after a 41 year career, which included nearly 24 years as Chief Meteorologist for KSNW TV, in Wichita, KS.
Enjoyed being active and involved in building positive relationships in the community year-round. Known for innovating and building many partnerships in the changing and challenging media world. Member of the Kansas Association of Broadcasters Hall of Fame.
Past President of the National Weather Association and frequently called upon to contribute to national dialogue on governmental severe weather policy, to share expertise in broadcast weather and severe weather coverage, and to consult with companies in broadcasting and weather services. Past member of the Board of Directors of the National Weather Association Foundation, providing support to students and teachers in meteorology.
Also a PADI Instructor Development Course Staff Instructor, Diveheart.org Adaptive Scuba Instructor, Handicapped Scuba Association Instructor, and an Emergency First Response Instructor (CPR and First Aid).
