PERSONALLY

I am a husband & father, entrepreneur, marketer, programmer, outdoor enthusiast, and a travel fanatic. I surf, rock climb, snowboard, wakeboard, mtn. bike, trail run, hike, etc. whenever I can.

ENTREPRENEUR

I co-founded Visible Equity an analytics company serving the financial industry. I never imagined how much fun and rewarding creating and building a company could be. I also never imaginedhow hard it could be either. Long nights, extra weekends, if you've been there you know the drill. It's tough but it's a great ride. I've worked on a few other startups as well, some successful some not. I'm always looking for other opportunities to build useful products that solve problems.

MARKETER

Having marketing skills was not something I ever planned on. Those skills came from my need to grow our startup (Visible Equity) and were developed from my natural skill sets which evolved into expertise. Today, I spend a lot of time performing statistical analysis, guiding our marketing strategy, optimizing our processes, creating content, running predictive analytics, etc. I've grown to love tools like Hubspot, Salesforce, Ruby on Rails, R, MySQL, Google Analytics, and cupcakes (I know, I know cupcakes? Don't be confused they drive HUGE revenue for us... read more here). I still try to keep up my programming skills building a new website in Ruby on Rails every now and then or using my limited JAVA skills. It's a blast to program but then again so is marketing.

AD-HOC DESIGNER

Over the years being short handed at a startup I've often been tasked with design. You name it I've done it, websites, blogs, apps, swag, logos, conferences, ads, email, print, etc. Learning how to design is tough, and I still don't feel adequate or call myself a designer but I've improved a ton and still use my skills when we need them. I'm proficient using standard tools like Ai, Ps, Id, etc.
