I may be one of the luckiest men in the world. After learning at age 44 that I was born with only one kidney and that it was failling, my wife gave me a kidney. I am trying to reach 1 million people with a profound request: Please consider organ donation. I literally have been given a second chance at life and would like to act as an apostle for organ donation, trying to spread the word about this loving, literally life saving act. I taught biology, the study of life, for 32 years and see this as a fitting and wonderful opportunity for me to use my particular constellation of study, contacts, and experience to reach as many people as I can.
