Dave Payne

I've been working for the United Nations in Hanoi, Vietnam on aid coordination and partnerships since late 2005. Before that I worked on NGO projects in Vietnam as well as other countries in Asia, the Pacific, Africa, Australia and elsewhere.

A long time ago I studied anthropology. I liked the stories. Then I studied psychology (I was wondering how the characters might change their stories). Somewhere I added a post-grad degree in international development studies.

These days when I'm not at work you will mainly find me reading on Vietnamese literature, translating poems, stumbling through music charts or running lines with the Hanoi International Theatre Group.
