Dave Rendle
Having been involved in music since the mid-nineties, Cambridge based producer Dave Rendle aka System Status only started producing seriously in May 2010. Soon after he emerged with the track 'Take Root' from his concept project 'The Detroit Urban Gardening Ensemble'. The track took inspiration and samples from the Julien Temple documentary 'Requiem for Detroit' about the decay and industrial collapse of America's fourth largest city. 'Take Root' immediately received airplay from respected radio broadcasters Red Rack'em and DJ Beane stimulating encouraging feedback from their listeners. Since then the track has been discovered by the likes of DJ LeFtOoO and continues to find new fans across the digital landscape. It was Dave's next creation under the System Status moniker that caught the attention of DJ/Producer Christopher Tubbs, one half of Atlantic Conveyor and Untracked Recordings. 'Downtime' is a loose, late night, downtempo house workout brimming with soul, a perfect fit for the unique Untracked label. Released on Untracked in October 2010 with the rock solid slice of bare bones disco 'Montparnasse' on the flip, 'Downtime' is Daves' debut single and a life goal achieved, crystallised in limited 180 gram wax! With future productions scheduled for release on Red Rack'ems' Bergerac label and plans to launch Night Sweats Music, his own imprint in partnership with producer Pete Dooman, you won't have to wait long to hear more from this exciting artist and producer. www.twitter.com/davidrendle www.daverendle.posterous.com www.nightsweatsmusic.com www.facebook.com/davidrendle For remix or booking enquiries, message me on here or send an email to [email protected]
