Born and bred in Canberra I spend a fair amount of time enjoying the social interaction of online contribution and exploring the possibilities of social networking in this new 21st century (children and now grandchild driven). I am a bit of an Australian history buff with 19th century 'Limestone Plains' (Canberra) history and heritage of particular interest.

Politically I am a green leaning Labour voter who supports the Australian Republican Movement as I see it both a natural progression of a 21st century democracy and a catalyst for the social unity it could create for Indigenous People, new Australians and my children.

Note: 63.2% of Canberrans voted 'Yes' at the 1999 Referendum.
