David Tierney-Kanning

The freedom and fluidity of watercolor and its uncontrollable nature is unique. Watercolor responds naturally to a spontaneous approach, and always presents new challenges to creating work that communicates as intended. Those characteristics are what keep me hopelessly addicted to refining and developing my ability to work with the medium – to employ its inherent qualities and fickle nature to create work that is brief and immediate in nature. A partnership in which I have absolutely no control, but a co-existing influence with my creative partner.
