David Fernandes

I have a Master in Civil Engineering with Geotechnical Specialization by Porto University in Portugal and have been working in this specialization area ever since with special focus in advanced numerical modeling of the soil-structure interaction. Currently I am based in the Middle East as Geotechnical Engineer for Artelia - Sogreah Gulf FZCO.

During my career, I had the opportunity to work with great teams in a wide range of challenging projects as geotechnical engineer covering major infrastructure and developments in Europe, Africa and the Middle East. Major projects include artificial islands, harbours, highways and bridges involving site investigation, earthworks, ground improvement, slopes and foundations. Site developments have involved foundations, excavations, dewatering, retaining walls and remediation for commercial, industrial and residential schemes.
