David Burns

First and foremost I'm a proud father. I'm also lucky to have such a loving and beautiful girlfriend. When I'm not spending time with my family I'm on the computer, usually building large scale websites for enterprise clients or dabbling in new technologies that are Open Source. I have over 16 years experience with web technologies and went to college for Computer Science.

In 2006, because of my experience with Drupal, I entered the corporate world at Sony (at the time Sony/BMG) in New York City to work on record label and music artists' websites. At the time it was the largest mult-site Drupal installation, over 150 websites on a single core. I helped build and manage websites for talents such as, but not limited to; Britney Spears, Chris Brown, Ozzy Osbourne, Journey, Daughtry, and a whole list of household names.

My next venture lead me to San Francisco where I worked for Lifetime Television where I was I helped build MyLifetime Community website. It was a relatively short stay, while I enjoyed the experience of San Francisco I missed seeing my son who still lived on the east coast with his mother.

In 2009, I returned back to Philadelphia and started a consulting company, Rapid Waters Development, with my best friend. We specialized in consulting and building websites with Drupal. This was an awesome experience and I learned so much about running a business.

But the universe had bigger plans for me. Lullabot approached us about joining their team and helping to grow a development team within the company. Lullabot was part of the reason why I continued with Drupal for so long, they were the consultants that trained my business partner and myself while working at Sony.
