David Cavanagh

I am married to Joy and we are the adopted parents of 2 children with disabilities, who are the major focus of our lives but in addition I am an active member of the leadership team at our local church, working in a paid capacity as the Church Adminsitrator.

I am also a Photographer, working freelance on commercial photography.

In my 'spare time' I seem to have become something of an advocate/activist and spokes person on Disability (primarily Learning Dissability) issues, particularly issues of justice in that arena. This followed on from a very high profile and succesful campaign ignited by me to fight the proposed closure of the respite care home that our son attends, it was succesful because we managed to prevent its closure.

When the mood takes me I also write ona blog, just for a bit of fun really though some of the topics I tackle are a little on the serious side but its my way of getting things out of my system.
