David Cowsert
I am the Director of Curriculum Development of an online college, a hobby publisher, writer, and graphic designer. Earlier careers and jobs include police officer, Marine, soldier in the Army, truck driver, bouncer, university instructor, and even produce manager in a supermarket. I have also worked in just about every job possible in print publishing.
With my work now winding up on a PhD, and through professional and hobby opportunities, I look at how we can improve asynchronous communication quality, particularly with disadvantaged populations.
I am currently conducting a research project exploring how individuals with significant visual impairments use the Internet. Preliminary work suggests they use the Internet in ways unpredictable through traditional usability and accessiblity models.
I love books and am passionate about writing and text itself.
