Clinical Nurse Specialist and PhD Candidate in Dublin, Ireland
I am a fully accredited clinical nurse specialist in sexual health working in Dublin, Ireland. My main clinical focus is prevention of HIV and other sexually acquired infections in gay, bisexual and other men who have sex with men (GBMSM).
I am also a PhD candidate researching the concepts of risk, risk navigation and risk compensation in GBMSM, a group which continues to experience disproportionate levels of sexually acquired infection.
I regularly contribute to education regarding sexual health and well being. I deliver the "Taking a Sexual History" Module on the STI foundation course for healthcare professionals twice yearly.
I have also been involved in delivering content for Dublin City University's "Sex & Sexuality" module for student nurses since 2019. I have presented at The Irish Association of Sexual Health Advisors and The Association of Continence Advice on the topics of sexual health and well being.
