I travel a lot for work and pleasure - which are the same thing sometimes (my friends think I work for the CIA - but I obviously don't or I wouldn't be able to say this). I am an entrepreneur and believe in the power of innovation to change the world. I am lucky to have work I enjoy and that makes a difference. I am surrounded by amazing friends - which is a big part of what life is all about. I would rather have one loaf of bread to my name and a good friend to break it with than a lonely man's platinum hoard.

I started a company called TheraSim that took online simulation-based physician training to the world. Like a flight simulator for physicians. That company trained 150,000 doctors in 190 countries. We built the largest group of linked simulation centers in Africa - over 150 centers. In all we ran over a million simulations. Now I am working on ProPatient which apply everything I know about technology, adult education, A.I. and health to providing education and tools to patients and caregivers.

I really dig old buildings, I like to climb them, fix them, chase the pigeons off the parapets. I like the outdoors, been rock climbing for years. Into music, travelled 35 countries with a Peruvian folkloric music band but then Jimmy quit and Jody got married. I've been to another 20 countries for global health work and just to see them.

I could 'possibly' be described as a geek. When I was in high school I saved my failing Latin grade by writing the worlds first PC-based English-Latin translator program. My Latin teacher was so impressed he passed me. I am looking to make new friends and am always open to new experiences. I like intellectually stimulating conversation.

I recently heard a quote, "The past is full of regret and the future is full of uncertainty" - I found that really sad. I prefer, "the past is full of wonder and future full of anticipation". Call me a glass half-full kind of guy.
